Why Coaching?
What is coaching? And why do you need it? Glad you asked. Coaching isn’t just about pep talks or positive thinking. It is about taking beliefs, black & white thinking, limitations, obstacles and blocks that you currently hold – along with your desires, dreams and goals and bringing them out to where you can see them. Once you are aware of these things operating in your life, you can act consciously. You find out why you do the things you do – those things that have you asking: “Why do I keep doing this?” or “Why am I not reaching my goals?”
This process of bringing out your desires and your blocks allows for answers to appear. When you and I (as your coach) focus on these parts of you out loud and together, answers and direction appear almost magically! It really is an amazing and powerful process.
It is not therapy. No need for years of introspection. It’s not about reliving the painful past or looking for what is wrong. Rather it is about dealing with things right here and right now and moving forward and making progress immediately.
Trying to move forward on your own, while possible, is often hindered because we can not see all aspects of ourselves with any real objectivity or clarity. We need an observer, a listener, a co-creator to propel us forward, not just in any direction, but in the right direction. Together goals are reached and desires are fulfilled!
